Luis Bermejo Rojo (Madrid 1931 - Palma de Mallorca 2015) was one of the most influential Spanish cartoonists, who stood out in the beginning for illustrations of comics such as the New Captain Thunder or The Lord of the Rings. He also worked on oil, pastel and watercolor, achieving a perfect mastery of this last technique.
His career was fruitful and international, he worked in France, England, Holland, the United States and Japan and received several awards such as the Warren Award for Best International Artist (1981) and the Artist of the Year Award in New York (1983).
