The fourth concert of the new edition of the International Music Festival 'Vila de Santanyí' takes place as the church of Cala d'Or. The Asturian soprano Lola Casariego and the Basque pianist Aurelio Viribay play works of Brahms, Debussy, Massenet and Puccini, among other composers.
Lola Casariego is a versatile mezzo-soprano who spans many different styles and feels equally comfortable in recital, concert and opera. She has sung in the main national and international theaters and concert halls with orchestras such as the New York Philharmonic Orchestra or the Israel Philharmonic.
For his part, Aurelio Viribay has specialized in the accompaniment of singers, a training that he completed with the pianist Dalton Baldwin. He has been a professor of Vocal Repertoire at the Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Wien and at the Konservatorium Wien. He is currently a teacher at the Escuela Superior de Canto in Madrid.
