Lisa Larsson + OSIB

The parish church of Sant Andreu hosts the fifth concert of the IX Vila de Santanyí International Music Festival. The soprano Lisa Larsson and the Orquestra Simfònica de les Illes Balears take part, under the baton of its principal conductor Pablo Mielgo. The program includes the premiere of Set cançons by Baltasar Samper.

Swedish soprano Lisa Larsson began her career as a flutist with a Master of Fine Arts in Music, and later studied singing in Basel. Her vocal flexibility allows her to tackle a very diverse repertoire, making her one of the most versatile performers on the concert stages today.

Larsson has worked with renowned directors, such as Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Riccardo Muti, Claudio Abbado, Sir Colin Davis, David Zinman, Leonard Slatkin, Daniel Harding, Adam Fischer, Louis Langrée, Antonello Manacorda, Andrew Manze or Nathalie Stutzmann, among others.

Also with prestigious orchestras, such as the Berlin Philharmonic, the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra, the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Netherlands, NHK Symphony Orchestra or Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra.
