In the trajectory of this quartet we find an aspect within the ambit of what is known as klezmer, a music style that defines the soul of the Jewish people and it is present in the sentiment as well as in the the joys and sorrows. Klezmer has influenced European music - jazz manouche or gypsy jazz - and at the same time it has let itself seduce by the sounds of these styles.
On the occasion of the 16th European Day of Jewish Culture, Le Carromato offers a concert that is simultaneously a tour around this music. Pieces like Saposkole, Klezmarim or Freileg illustrate this sentiment also incorporating landscapes of all Europe, from the mists of Ireland to the French taverns, from the sentimental melodies to the most explosive joy.
Le Carromato is formed by Alfredo Ardanaz (violin), Miquel Àngel Aguiló (cello and percussion), Xisco Aguilo (bass) and Toni Pastor (guitar).
