'L'hostelera'

It is one of the key works of the Venetian playwright Carlo Goldoni, which marked his consecration as one of the fathers of Italian comedy. Written in 1750, La locandiera (La posadera) tells the story of Mirandolina, a sly and sexy young owner of a neighborhood in Italy, courted by every man passing by.

In particular by the ruined Marquis Forlipopoli and the Earl of Albafiorita, a wealthy merchant who has become part of the nobility.
