Krzysztof Biernacki & Alfredo Oyágüez Montero

A lyrical proposal at the 2025 Deià International Music Festival featuring Polish tenor Krzysztof Biernacki and pianist Alfredo Oyágüez Montero, the Festival's artistic director. The concert will be held in the Son Marroig Music Hall.

Krzysztof Biernacki is the new Director of the Bower School of Music & the Arts. Prior to joining FGCU, he was Professor of Vocals and Director of Opera at the University of North Florida, where he distinguished himself as an award-winning professor, international performer, opera director, and academic administrator.

Biernacki frequently gives recitals, performing a wide repertoire of art songs in numerous European languages. Recent engagements include solo recitals at international music festivals in Spain, Italy, Germany, Poland, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Serbia, France, Norway, and Canada.

He explores the vocal works of Polish composer Karol Szymanowski, and his recording of Szymanowski's art songs, entitled In the Mists, is available on the MSR Classic label.
