They have been on stage for half a century and are still here to stay. This group of R & B, soul, funk and disco was established in New Jersey in 1964 under the name The Jazziacs. It was not until 1969, with the release of the album Kool & the Gang, when they decided to adopt the title of his debut album for the group, led by Robert 'Kool' Bell.
The first major success came in 1973 with Wild and Peaceful, and two years later with The Spirit of the Boogie, taking the sound of funk to the finest expression. Throughout their career they have sold over one hundred million copies and collected 27 gold and platinum albums.
In 1994 the group returned to the limelight with the premiere of the movie Pulp Fiction by Quentin Tarantino, which included the song Jungle Boogie, from the album Wild and Peaceful.
