This band is led by renowned percussionist Juanjo Guillem (1965), a musician with a strong background covering many facets.
As a soloist, he is a specialist in avant garde music premiering in Spain works by composers such as Boulez, Ligeti and Carter. He has also released numerous percussion and orchestra concerts with the National Orchestra of Spain, Tayson Orchestra (Taiwan) or the Chamber Orchestra of St. Petersburg, among others.
As a composer he has written numerous pieces and his interest in education has led him to create, in 1994, the Centro de Estudios Neopercusión.
Juanjo Guillem arrives with his band at Mallorca to participate in Inca Jazz 2013, an edition that combines jazz with tapas and wine thanks to the collaboration of the Association of Merchants and Restaurateurs of Inca. Before and after the four scheduled concerts delicious tapas and wine of Son Bordils will be offered at reasonable prices in the same cloister of Sant Domingo, where the concerts are held.
