The Fundació Studium Aureum offers this concert dedicated to two works by the composer and organist Josef Gabriel Rheinberger (Vaduz, Liechtenstein, 1839-Munich, Germany, 1901), one of the most recognized in his time.
The program consists of Vom Goldener Horn op. 182 (The golden horn) and Maitag op. 64 (May Day), two works for soloists, choir and piano of great lyricism and romanticism.
Directed by Carles Ponseti Verdaguer, soloists include Maia Planes (soprano), Frédérique Sizaret (mezzo-soprano), Antonio Aragón (tenor), Elíes Benito (bass) and Andreu Riera (piano).
Half an hour before the concert, the composer Mercè Pons will give an explanatory talk about the author and the works.
