El yacimiento arqueológico de Sa Ferradura en Porto Cristo es un asentamiento fortificado realizado con técnica ciclópea, un tipo de construcción en la que empleaban grandes piedras sin armagasa.
Desde hace unos años se vienen desarrollando campañas de excavación dentro del proyecto Entre Illes, que incluye también los trabajos en el yacimiento de Cala Morell en Ciutadella de Manorca, contemporáneo a Sa Ferradura. El proyecto tiene por objetivo conocer el uso de este tipo de asentamientos y la dinámica evolutiva de la sociedad que los habitó.
