The last concert of the XXVI Festival de Música Clàssica d'Artà Antoni Lliteres is offered by saxophonist Jorge Pardo from Madrid (1956), who received in 2013 the award for best European jazz musician.
Tenor, soprano saxophonist and flutist, during his career he has worked with the cream of jazz fusion, Camarón de la Isla and Paco de Lucia, Chick Corea (part of his international tour since 2004), Pat Metheny, Tete Montoliu, Raimundo Amador .... the list would be several pages long.
His first LP, Jorge Pardo (Blau, 1982) was recorded in Mallorca with Joan Bibiloni and Carles Benavent as guest musicians. Now he presents himself with the show Anima flamenca accompanied by the String Orchestra and the Big Band of the Conservatori Superior de les Illes Balears, led by Xema Borras and Toni Cuenca.
His new musical project is called Stories of Radha and Krishna.
