He was born in Stockholm and grew up in a musical family. As a child, Jonathan Fritzen started playing drums, later would come the piano, bass, guitar, flute and singing. At 22, he had already performed several times on Swedish television and had toured several countries with the most respected jazz musicians.
With his first album Love Birds, Fritzen became the first Swedish pianist to record an album of smooth jazz. Other works followed that conquered the charts, earning him to be considered as a great master of contemporary jazz. His new album is Fritzenized (2015), which he now presents at the Mallorca Smooth Jazz Festival.
