Jazz Voyeur Festival brings to Mallorca for the first time this legend of blues and rock. At age 70, completed in February, Johnny Winter, the most famous albino of rock, is still glued to the stage. His performance at Es Gremi closes the four concerts offered in the month of May in Spain.
Success came to this American guitarist through an article published in Rolling Stone in 1968, which earned him a contract with a club in New York and a recording with Columbia Records. He debuted with the album Johnny Winter ( 1969) and his name appeared in festivals such as Woodstock, initiating a career full of successes and several Grammy nominations.
Throughout his long career he has released 28 official albums. The last titled Roots (2011) being his first studio album in seven years.
