Within the cycle Sent el Patrimoni, IV Temporada d'Arts Escèniques i Musicals, is offered a monographic concert of Kaiassa, one of the most acclaimed compositions by Mallorcan symphonic composer Joan Valent (Palma, 1964), who has collaborated with artists from various musical genres such as Montserrat Caballé, Maria del Mar Bonet and Luis Eduardo Aute. The concert will be directed by Valent himself involving Ars Ensemble and soloists Smerald Spahiu (violin), Andreu Riera (piano), Francesc Josep Palou (flute) and Emanuel Bleus (cello).
In the late nineties the composer formed Ars Ensemble, with which he recorded several albums and accompanied artists like David Byrne. He has also composed the soundtrack for several feature films, documentaries and short films.
