The Ibizan multi-instrumentalist, producer, composer and arranger Joan Barbé has more than 40 albums as a music producer and close to 100 recordings as a professional musician. In 2021 he released Quorum, his second solo album, which he is now presenting at the new edition of the Palma Jazz Festival.
Joan Barbé is the composer and producer of all the songs on the new work, where jazz fusion mixed with funk, progressive rock and Latin music prevails, with influences ranging from Snarky Puppy to Jeff Beck, including Vulfpeck, Dirty Loops, Mike Stern or Dave Weckl.
Joan Barbé (guitar, composition, arrangements and musical direction) performs with a band of musicians from Ibiza or residents of the island, made up of Rafael Garcés (keyboards, sax), Aarón Puente (bass), Joan Carles Marí (drums), Vicent Tur (trombone) and Santiago Ramírez (trumpet).
