Like many music festivals, the Chopin Festival of Valldemossa also has an expository part, which in 2017 falls to the French photographer Jean-Marie del Moral (Montoire sur le Loir, 1952).
Since more than forty years, this son of exiled Spanish Republicans has photographed in their workshops the greatest painters and sculptors of the 20th century: Joan Miró, Miquel Barceló, Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Motherwell, Ai Weiwei ... Since 2013, Jean -Marie del Moral lives permanently in Mallorca.
