This Finnish pianist and composer is one of the most acclaimed jazz musicians of his country and recognized outside its borders for his technical. In 2012 he published My History of Jazz, a small tour through his personal history of jazz ranging from ragtime to smooth jazz, with variations Goldberg of JS Bach as axis.
Iiro Rantala participates in the XXXVII International Music Festival of Deià with Sibelius Jazz concert on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Jean Sibelius (1865-1957). The program consists of works by the Finnish composer, Bach, Gershwin, Lennon and Rantala own.
