50 years of bossa nova is the title of this concert which pays tribute to Vinicius de Moraes and Antonio Carlos Jobim, poet and musician, respectively, who marked a before and after in Brazilian popular music. This will be done by the trio led by guitarist Jayme Marques, a musician who in the sixties introduced bossa nova in Europe, Africa and Asia being a member of the Black Orfeu Orchestra.
Marques has collaborated with many artists and has received numerous awards and accolades, like the one given by the Academia de las Artes y Ciencias de la Televisión (Academy of Arts and Sciences of Television), for the soundtrack of the documentary series Un país en la mochila, or recently the Tribute Award in the Continental Latin Jazz Festival Clazz (Madrid, 2012).
In this formation he will be accompanied by Juan Carlos Mendoza (bass) and Miguel Figuerola (drums).
