Banyalbujazz'14 starts with the quartet led by one of the most renowned guitarists of blues and rock in the country. For four years, this festival has combined jazz music with the beautiful landscape of Banyalbufar and a glass of Malvasia wine.
Javier Vargas (Madrid, 1958) lived during his childhood in Argentina, Venezuela and Los Angeles, where he began playing in clubs and recording as a session guitarist. In the eighties he returned to Spain, becoming part of the group of Miguel Ríos.
In 1991 he created the Vargas Blues Band, with which he has recorded more than twenty albums. The Latest from 2014 which has as title Tributo al rock argentino (Tribute to Argentine rock). In Banyalbujazz'14 he performs with a quartet.
