Before participating in the Fira Mediterrània de Manresa this year, Polish musician Janusz Prusinowski visits Mallorca to offer a concert and dance workshop at the Mar i Terra Municipal Theater in Palma.
With more than twenty years of career, Janusz Prusinowski is possibly the main representative of the renewal of music with Polish roots, both as an artist and cultural manager, ideologist and generator of initiatives to make visible, revalue and update the musical legacy of the rural area of Poland.
In his concert he will offer a repertoire of mazurkas, polkas, obereks and other traditional dances. In his workshop of Polish dances, Janusz Prusinowski proposes to learn to dance mazurkas and other Polish styles of peasant origin like the polonaise (called chodzony in Polish), or the wiwat, a very dynamic and cheerful dance. This workshop is aimed at people over 12 years old.
