Jack van Poll Trio

This veteran Dutch composer and pianist has played with jazz legends such as Dizzy Gillespie, Lionel Hampton or Dee Bridgewater. In the late seventies, Jack van Poll opened in the Belgian city of Antwerp the September Jazz Club and in 1984 created his label September Jazz Records.

His style is grounded in bebop, but with touches of blues and a good portion of swing. He has performed in prestigious festivals worldwide and now reaches Cala Millor Festival in his trio format, with Herman Salvatierra (bass) and Strukely Marino (drums). They also feature as guest vocals singer Maria Antonia Gomila.

The concert has the collaboration of the Pro-Mental Health Association of Estel de Llevant in the region of Manacor.
