IV National Championship of Poetry Slam Spain

Poetry Slam Mallorca is in charge of organizing this year’s new edition of the National League of this cultural project based on poetry on stage and the spectacle of the word. It has been held since 2011 and has since gone through Barcelona, ​​Jaén, Madrid and now Palma.

In this final will participate the slams that meet a set of rules: they have to celebrate a minimum of six slams a year, respect the principle of open mike in slams and respect the basic rules of slam: without music, costumes nor props, less than three minutes of intervention, and own texts.

The Fourth National Poetry Slam Championship Spain is established in one of the most emblematic places of the Es Baluard Museum, an old well of the seventeenth century converted into exhibition space. Participating will be twelve slammers of Cantabria, Toledo, Ciudad Real, Santa Coloma de Gramanet, L' Hospitalet, Madrid, Jaén, Granada, Valencia, Barcelona, Bilbao and Mallorca.

This year Palma is also the scene of the II International Poetry Slam, to be held in Es Baluard from October 29 to 30.
