It is considered one of the most prestigious European orchestras with original instruments. Founded in 1979 in Amsterdam by American director Alan Curtis who is one of the most renowned specialists in the interpretation of pre-Romantic music.
Il Complesso Barocco is a chamber group of young soloists (vocal and instrumental) specializing in Italian madrigals by composers such as Marenzio, Monteverdi, Gesualdo and D'India, as well as vocal and instrumental music of the late Baroque, their trajectory is full of awards and they participate in major festivals in Europe and America.
The program presented in the Festival de Pollença is entitled Venetian curiosities and is directed by Riccardo Minasi. It consists of fragments of Vivaldi concertos for various instruments and also the lecture of tales by American writer Donna Leon (New Jersey, 1942).
