Art Vocal Ensemble premieres its 14th production with two concerts in Inca (November 30) and in Palma (December 1). This is the second part of its Historical tour of vocal music, dedicated on this occasion to Visions of the past from the present: 16th and 20th centuries. Directed by Llorenç Gelabert, starring the Art Vocal Ensemble choir , Sabela Oliver as narrator and pianist Magdalena Tugores.
They present representative vocal works from two periods very distant in time, Renaissance vs. 20th century, with a clear intrinsic connection. Based on an eclectic but rigorous program with historical contexts, Art Vocal Ensemble offers a careful selection of pieces that reflect the sound and aesthetic evolution between both periods, the vocal element being the common link.
This new production has a didactic character, since it will have the presence of philologist and musician Sabela Oliver as narrator and author of the texts, establishing a plot between the different works and historical contexts from a personal but rigorous perspective.
