'Igra', Cia. Kor'sia

The latest proposal of this edition of the Palma Dansa festival is Igra, a reflection on the Ukrainian dancer Vaslav Nijinsky (kyiv, 1889-London, 1950), the historical moment and the context in which he and his sister lived, and on the values at that time.

Igra establishes a dialogue between the relationshipb and the experiences that the choreographer and his sister Bronislava Nijinska had with the elitist Bloomsbury group, which included Virginia Woolf, Maynard Keynes or Bertrand Russell.

As usual in the choreographies of the Kor'sia company, the visual role is decisive. Without being a danced docudrama about the time and the works, it is full of references. Electronic music is close to the rhythms of Russian dances and the music of Chopin.

The Palma Dansa 2022 festival is organized by the Department of Culture of the Palma City Council and is held from April 29 to May 8 in different areas of the city.
