The Conservatori Professional de Música de Felanitx will host from July 9 to 14 this first youth orchestral meeting that aims to enhance the musical talent of young Mallorcan people.
Promoted and sponsored by the Barceló Foundation and with the collaboration of the Ajuntament de Felanitx, the contest is aimed at music students from 8 to 14 years old living on the island who play any of the symphonic instruments: flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn , trumpet, trombone, tuba, violin, viola, cello, double bass and percussion.
The meeting will consist of intensive orchestral practice workshops led by internationally renowned musicians and teachers specialized in orchestral pedagogy within the System of Orchestras of Venezuela created by the economist Antonio Abreu, Premio Príncipe de Asturias 2008.
The registration period ends on June 17.
