This musical contest is promoted and sponsored by the Barceló Foundation and organized by the Conservatori Professional de Música de Felanitx, with the collaboration of the City Council of Felanitx.
The final tests will be held this weekend with auditions open to the public. Friday 9 February is the first phase, Saturday 10 the semifinal and Sunday 11 the final, where the winner of the Beca Fundación Barceló will be announced, valued at € 19,200 to study music at the Reina Sofía School from Madrid.
The preselected candidates, all of them between the ages of 15 and 28, are: Andreu Gómez (horn), Catina Bibiloni (singing), Beatriz Torres (viola), Maria Rigo (clarinet), Magí Garcías (piano), Aina Lilia Dominguez (violin), Ariadna Ferrer (violin) and Kiran Rosselló (violin).
