Mal Pelo's new creation is called Highlands, a show where dance and live music surround us and project us towards a vertical poetics, between light and darkness.
In Highlands, the Mal Pelo company puts Bach's music in dialogue with that of other composers such as Ärvo Parte, Handel, Kurtag or Purcell, and with texts adapted for the scene by Nick Cave, John Berger and Erri de Luca; in some cases translated into Catalan and in others in its original text.
Highlands closes the Bach Project tetralogy, made up of his three previous shows: Bach, On Goldberg Variations / Variations and Inventions.
Directed by María Muñoz and Pep Ramis, it is performed by Pep Ramis, María Muñoz, Federica Porello, Leo Castro, Zoltan Vakulya, Miquel Fiol, Enric Fàbregas and Ona Fusté.
