The 2015-2016 subscription season of the Orquestra Simfònica Illes Balears has as its resident artists the French sisters Katia and Marielle Labèque, who have been dedicated since 1969 to the repertoire for four hands and two pianos.
Their international career began with the success of Rhapsody in Blue (1980). Since then they have published more than forty albums and participated in documentaries like I'm Going to Tell You a Secret about Madonna.
The head of the Balearic Islands Symphony Orchestra, Pablo Mielgo, directs this thirteenth concert of the season with a program consisting of Le Tombeau De Couperin (suite), by Maurice Ravel; Concerto for two pianos and orchestra by Francis Poulenc; and Concerto for Orchestra Sz. 116, Bela Bartok.
