The Balearic Symphony Orchestra is celebrating its 25th anniversary and one of its proposals is the Summers Symphony cycle that opens with one of the most prestigious contemporary piano duos. The French sisters Katia (1950) and Marielle (1952) are the Sisters Labèque that since 1969 - with the publication of their first album Les Visions de l'Amen by Olivier Messiaen- are dedicated to the repertoire for four hands and two pianos.
Their international career began with the success of Rhapsody in Blue (1980). Since then they have published more than forty albums and participated in documentaries like I'm Going to Tell You a Secret about Madonna.
In this concert they will accompany the Balearic Symphony Orchestra directed by its head director, Pablo Mielgo. The program includes Concerto for 2 pianos n1 10, K. 365, by WA Mozart; and Dream of a summer night, by Felix Mendelssohn.
