The jazz vibraphonist and composer Gunter Greffenius (Germany, 1940) leads this quartet in which he is accompanied by Manfred Kullmann (piano), Toni Cuenca (bass) and Julian Vaughn (drums).
Although he studied classical piano, he was soon attracted by Lionel Hampton, the first jazz vibraphonist and one of the great figures of the genre. He created his first band in 1957, Blue Bird Swingtett, and in 1972 abandoned his active musical career but returned to the stage in 2003.
