'Guillem Bestard, pintor desconegut'

Pollença's photographic history would not be the same without the contribution of Guillem Bestard, whose technique and sensitivity led him to work as a graphic correspondent for the prestigious National Geografic magazine.

But Guillem Bestard (Pollença, Mallorca, 1881-London, 1969) was also a painter, a member of the Escuela Pollencina. The exhibition Guillem Bestard, an unknown painter, is dedicated to this facet of the artist.
His paintings, with a predominance of ocher and earth, resemble those of his great Argentine friend Titto Cittadini.
