Tortell Poltrona premiered in 2001 - after ten years away from the stage - this clown show that reflects on life and death. The script and direction is by Jaume Mateu, from an original idea by Poltrona, and features stage director Mario Gas.
In Grimègies, which now reaches Teatre d'Arta within the cycle Feel the Heritage, a clown prepares animated his great journey, his death. He prepares, muses and faces the setbacks. It's not a goodbye but a way of understanding life, chasing the tenderness and laughter a moment of eternity.
Tortell Poltrona was awarded National Prize for Circus 2013 for combine classical and modern forms and their contribution to projects like the NGO Clowns without borders.
