Considered one of the most complete singers of the current operatic scene, the American lyrical tenor Gregory Kunde has sung regularly in the most important opera houses around the world, along with the best orchestras and conductors. Kunde and baritone Damián del Castillo offer this symphonic recital within the 33rd Opera and Ballet Season of the Principal Teatre of Palma.
After the successes achieved during his career in the Italian and French bel canto, Gregory Kund has forged in recent years a great prestige in the verdiano repertoire that has earned him the unique distinction of being the only tenor in recent history in interpreting the two Otellos, Rossini's and Verdi's, in the same season. A milestone that earned him the award for Best Male Singer in 2016 at the prestigious International Opera Awards.
In the Teatre Principal de Palma, he will offer a varied menu at the height of his marvelous vocal faculties with Verdi as the main theme, together with Donizetti, Puccini and Leoncavallo. The Orquestra Simfònica Illes Balears and the Cor del Teatre Principal take part, under Sergio Alapont.
