Great broadcast of the opera Il Trovatore by Giuseppe Verdi from the Teatro Real de Madrid. It is a new production with musical direction by Maurizio Benini and stage direction by Francisco Negrín, with a libretto based on the play El trovador (1836) by Antonio García Gutiérrez.
Il Trovatore is a co-production of the Teatro Real with Opera Montecarlo and the Royal Danish Opera of Copenhagen and is presented within the Opera Week, which takes place from July 6 to 14.
