Grease, the Musical

This is one of the most successful titles in the history of music. Now, coinciding with the 40th anniversary of its premiere on Broadway, returns to the stage with a new production under the artistic direction of Coco Comin, who is also responsible for the choreography, and musical direction by Manu Guix. Edurne, Jordi Coll, Ivan Santos and Manuela Nieto (in the roles of Sandy, Danny, Kenickie and Rizzo, respectively) lead a cast of 33 artists and a band of 6 musicians playing on stage.

Both the staging, as the story and the songs are true to the original work of Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey premiered in 1971, it became the longest running musical on Broadway in addition to getting twelve Tony Awards. The film, starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, hit the screens in 1978 directed by Randal Kleiser and became the biggest blockbuster of the year.
