This Croatian pianist belongs to the group of musicians who win the public and international critics in each of their performances. Goran Filipec (Rijeka, 1981) studied piano with Naum Grubert, Oxana Yablonskaya, Natalia Trull and Evgeny Zarafiants at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague and the Conservatory P. I. Tchaikovsky in Moscow.
He debuted at Carnegie Hall in New York in 2006 and is currently doing doctoral studies at the National Conservatory of Music and Dance of Paris and the University of Paris-Sorbonne.
He has won several international competitions such as the Franz Liszt - Mario Zanfi Award, Parnassos Competition and the Jose Iturbi.
Goran Filipec closes the IX International Classical Music Festival Pianino with a program consisting of Pastorale and Capriccio, of Scarlatti-Tausig; Sonata No.2 Op 27, by Beethoven.; Intermezzo, Theme and Variations, by I. Macek; and 6 Grandes etudes de Paganini, by Franz Liszt.
