In the Balearic Islands, the glosa is a kind of popular, oral and rhymed composition, usually improvised at the same time it is declaimed. When two or more glosadors are faced in combat it is called gloses de picat, an exhibition in which dramatization and expressiveness of the combatants is of utmost importance.
Participate glosadors of Mallorca and Menorca: Antònia Nicolau 'Pipiu' (Mallorca), Mateu Matas 'Xurí' (Mallorca), Blai Salom (Mallorca), Vicenç Marí (Menorca), Miquel Truyol (Menorca), Joan Moll (Menorca) and Carlos Guillén (Menorca).
