Art Vocal Ensemble premieres its 17th production, a concert with a very original and little performed repertoire basically dedicated to the figure of the French composer Francis Poulenc (1899-1963). The main work will be his well-known Gloria, which will take the stage to forty singers, a solo soprano and a pianist.
Composed in 1959, nine years after Sabat Mater, Gloria is an effective work that expresses a wide range of emotions, ranging from lyrical serenity to the most shameless joke. Also from Poulenc we can hear 3 Motets for a cappella choir, representative of his most devout and spiritual compositional stage.
Fifteen minutes before the concert there will be a commented introduction of the works to be performed.
