The queen of disco opens the concert series Discover the Live Shows of Port Adriano. The yacht harbor of Calvia, with its marina designed by Philippe Starck, will vibrate with this living legend and will become a dance floor with songs like Never can say goodbye, I am what I am and, of course, I Will Survive.
Written by Freddie Perren and Dino Fekaris, Gloria Gaynor recorded I Will Survive in 1978 and in 1980 took a Grammy for best recording, which is the only year in which disco music has been honored in these awards. A song that today is an emblem of social survival and that has been recorded over two hundred times by different artists.
For twenty years, Gloria Gaynor (New Jersey, 1949) was the queen of the dance floor topping success after success. Today she continues to maintain the standard and her popularity continues to flourish in the new millennium.
The concert series Discover the Live Shows is a production of Port Adriano and Jazz Voyeur Live.
