This group of jazz is one of the first stable in Mallorca. In the style of the American swing orchestras of the 30s, it consists of five saxophones, four trombones, 4 trumpets, rhythm section (bass, piano, guitar and drums) and singer. Their repertoire is mainly based on swing, but also encompasses other styles in jazz such as bossa nova.
In Manacor, Glissando Big Band acts together with Martin Vicens playing themes of this guitarist, arranger and composer. They offer a jazz repertoire from the tradicionnal jazz to the music of Miles Davis and Wayne Shorter.
