The third concert of the VII International Piano Festival is this recital of the charismatic British performer George Harliono, who at the age of 16 is dazzling with great talent on stage and on social networks. The festival is held from July 10 to July 14 at Torre de Canyamel, a unique gothic style watch- and defense tower in Mallorca.
George Harliono, who follows the career of the popular Chinese pianist Lang Lang, offered his first solo recital at the age of 9 and has since performed in venues in the United Kingdom, the United States and Asia. In 2013 he was invited to record Piano Sonata Op.2 No.1 by Beethoven at the Southbank Center in London and in 2016 his performance of Piano Concerto No.1 by Txaikovsky in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory was broadcast live on Russian national television and retransmitted live on Medici TV.
Since his debut, George Harliono has performed regularly with orchestras such as the Moscow Symphony, the Mariinsky Orchestra, the Tatarstan National Symphony Orchestra, the Tyumen Philharmonic Orchestra and the Ealing George Symphony Orchestra.
His prizes in international competitions are also counted by dozens, including The Grand Piano Competition in Moscow or the Royal Overseas League Music Competition in London.
In 2017, George has joined the Royal College of Music for a bachelor's degree from BMUS on a four-year fellowship, being one of the youngest students of the past year.
In the VII International Piano Festival Torre de Canyamel he performs works by Bach and Liszt.
