Jaume Rosselló (electric guitar), Joan Roca (electric bass) and Pep Aspas (drums), students of classical and jazz at the Conservatori Superior de Música de les Illes Balears, form the Geometrical Sardine trio, which has released its first album, Minialien (2022).
Seven original tracks with a very personal soundscape in which they explore new creative frontiers that they are now presenting at the IV Festival Internacional de Música Clàssica de Sineu.
Unusual rhythmic patterns, difficult-to-accommodate melodies and harmonies, and a well-crafted sound that ranges from the sharpness of jazz to the distortions of progressive rock, are the hallmarks of Geometrical Sardine.
