The first proposal of the PalmaFolk 2021-2022 festival features Gnawa music, a rich Moroccan repertoire of ancient songs and religious rhythms. From the hand of the Gatzara Quartet group, which incorporates this tradition into the music of African heritage that in the United States germinated in the form of jazz, funk and groove.
Gatzara Quartet is made up of Walid Mahmoud (vocals and guembri), Gora Casado (bass), Feliciano Gz (sax and flute) and Xavi Barbot (drums).
