'Gala'

This 2003 documentary is an exciting journey that reconstructs the figure of Elena Dimitrievna Diakonova, Gala Dalí. It is directed by Sílvia Munt, who will attend the screening that takes place in Es Baluard.

The documentary starts in Kazan (Russia), where she was born in 1894, travels through Moscow, Switzerland (where she met the poet Paul Eluard), Paris, New York and, finally, Cadaqués, where she lived the last stage of her life with Dalí.

Filmed in Russian, French, English, Spanish and Catalan, Gala includes testimonies from biographers, friends, neighbors, artists, psychologists and members of their domestic service.
