La Fura dels Baus: 'Manes'

In its almost 40 years of a career full of successes, La Fura dels Baus had never done a revival of their works. Now they does it with Manes, a physical theater show premiered in 1996 at El Ejido Pavilion (Almería) and that has been presented all over the world with more than 240 performances.

Manes is the highlight of Islandarte, the 1st International Biennial of Independent Contemporary Art that takes place at the Balearic Coliseum in Palma from September 26 to 30.

In Manes, La Fura shows the most primal instincts of the human being (birth, death, sexuality ...) in a visceral and impressive spectacle that make it a unique experience for the spectator. Renouncing the latest technologies, the montage brings us back to the origins of La Fura dels Baus and its furious language.

After passing through Mallorca, Manes will be officially presented in Eindhoven (The Netherlands).
