With almost 90 years of age, and a very active professional life, the German pianist Fijiko Hemming is visiting Mallorca where she will offer two concerts that will be recorded and will form part of the special program that the Japanese television NHK TV makes about Frédéric Chopin's stay in the island. The venues for these concerts will be the Auditori of the Conservatori Superior de Música de les Illes Balears (September 29) and the Cartoixa de Valldemossa (October 2).

Fijiko Hemming was born in Berlin on December 5, 1932 to a Japanese mother and Swedish father, she a pianist and he an architect and draftsman educated at the Bauhaus.
