Renou Col·lectiu organizes this concert with American trombonist, composer and arranger Fred Wesley, one of the architects of funk along with James Brown and George Clinton, with whom he collaborated in the sixties and seventies.
He is currently on tour with his new project, Fred Wesley & Generations, a jazz trio that also includes the Italian Leonardo Corradi (considered the best instrumentalist of Hammond b3 in the world) and French drummer Tony Match. Three musicians who initially met to pay homage to the soul jazz of the legendary organist Jimmy Smith and who have continued with a new repertoire based on their own themes and classic jazz standards.
A repertoire that commemorates his more than 50 years of Funk.
