The XL Deià International Music Festival opens up to other musics with this proposal that brings us closer to tango. The managers are five musicians with the Argentine Sergio Bustos as a soloist voice.
The rest are Finnish Martti Wallen (bass), Armando Lorente (percussion), Joan Roca (double bass) and Alfredo Oyaguez (piano).
The Deià International Music Festival has been held since 1978 in the music room of Son Marroig, one of the former properties of Archduke Luis Salvador in the Tramuntana mountains of Mallorca. It was created by the now defunct Patrick Meadows, jazz musician and poet, and his partner Stephanie Shepard. Since a few years, the artistic direction falls on the pianist Alfredo Oyagüez Montero.
It is dedicated to chamber music, although it also includes proposals for styles such as jazz or flamenco.
