One of Spain's most distinctive literary festivals returns to Magaluf just steps from the sea, with international authors, concerts and conversations across four days. 📚🌊

📖 What FLEM is

Organised by Rata Corner and INNSiDE by Meliá, with the support of Calvià Town Council and other cultural institutions, the festival has become one of the country's most distinctive literary gatherings, welcoming more than 10,000 visitors in 2025.

For four days, internationally acclaimed authors, leading Spanish writers and emerging Balearic voices come together by the beach for conversations, readings, performances and cultural encounters.

Guests announced so far include French novelist David Foenkinos, paleoanthropologist Juan Luis Arsuaga, crime fiction icon Alicia Giménez Bartlett, journalist and author Manuel Jabois, Mallorcan writer Laura Gost, musician and author Rayden, Aria Aber, Lana Corujo, Olivia Lund and Ana Garriga and Carmen Urbita, creators of the podcast Las Hijas de Felipe.

✨ New this year

Alongside author talks there will be concerts, poetry readings, live interviews and the festival's popular Secret Rooms, plus parallel activities throughout the weekend.

The 2026 edition introduces the FLEM Writers' Residency, for authors writing in Catalan and English, and the new FLEM Magaluf Novel Prize, supporting emerging Spanish-language writers under 35.
